Our loving father...

Words to live by… Genesis 19:29

Verse 29 reads: “God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.” What a wonderful privilege we have to seek God on behalf of those we love. Abraham loved Lot and made it his responsibility to impeach God on his behalf. Thank God, we do not have to stand by and powerlessly watch Satan destroy those we care about. We have the awesome privilege of prayer. We can actually go to God with our every concern and he will regard it. What a tremendous father we have! Not only is he all-powerful, but also his love for our family and friends is greater than our own. Don’t hesitate to call out to God when you see those close to you falling into Satan’s traps. When those you care about have a need that seems to be impossible, talk to God Almighty who “is able to do above and beyond that which we could ask or think.” Participate in their miracle through prayer. God doesn’t forget our concerns. He will remember what we ask as he did Abraham. Cultivate the kind of relationship with God that generates faith. Then, when you make requests on behalf of others, you’ll know he’s going to hear and intervene. Trust God with the lives of your loved ones, and trust in what he chooses to do in their lives. Leave them in the hands of the all-loving, all-knowing, all-forgiving Father.
