God looked into Abraham’s future and decided to allow him to speak into the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah. Why did God feel that Abraham would have righteous insight into what should happen to these wicked cities?
God saw that Abraham would become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth would be blessed of him. God said of Abraham: “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment.” God based the present revelation and future of these two incredible cities on his foreknowledge of Abraham’s relationship with himself.
How many times would God love to hook us up with all that he’s doing in our world, but because of our lack of faith and commitment, we don’t receive the revelation. We can’t afford to be constantly distracted from our relationship with God. The fate of others hangs in the balance. We must persist in our pursuit of God. So much is happening right now in the spirit; we have to concentrate and make ourselves available to God. There’s nothing more important than what God is doing in the earth today. Will we be ready to give God our take on the condition of our family, city or situation? Are we standing in the gap for those who truly want God and desire to know and serve him? Based on our future relationship with God, can he council with us about his intentions for our nation and continent?
We must make the commitment today to be God’s man or woman. We must commit to his ways and will. Let’s be a force to reckon with in this present world. This is the time to which God has brought us in order to show Satan the strength of The Church. Let us be The Church! We are strong in the Lord. We’re standing on a firm foundation, Christ the Solid Rock.
