Genesis 17:20

God is so awesome! He cares about the things we care about. If only we could know how much he really wants to bless and protect us.

In the seventeenth chapter of Genesis once again we see God making good out of humanities miserable attempt at helping bring to pass his promises. Oh, that we would trust the Lord. What mighty acts and miraculous occurrences we would witness. Even in our state of disobedience and natural reasoning God intervenes and gives us the desires of our hearts.

Here we find Abraham interrupting God while he prophecies how he will bless him, through an incredible natural birth son, asking for a blessing on a son who was a product of an ungodly scheme. Does God scold Abraham? Does he ignore his foolish request? No, no, a thousand times no.

God is interested in the wellbeing of humanity no matter how it was conceived. No matter what kind of rebellion or immoral behavior is involved in the conception, God loves humanity. What a loving, forgiving God he is!

Abraham saw right into God’s heart. “Yes, I know you love Ishmael. I love him more than you can know.” God wants to pour his incredible love out on us. Will we believe? Can we trust him? Get ready for the mighty outpouring God has promised for this end time. Get yours!
